Editing Players and Cards

When entering actions (after configuring stack sizes), click any player at the table to open the player edit dialog. You can:

  • Change the player's label or name
  • Select specific hole cards to make them visible
  • Update previously entered card information

If you select hole cards before the showdown, those cards will be visible from the start of the hand in the replay. This is useful when you want viewers to understand the action from a specific player's perspective.

Entering Actions

During action entry, the interface shows the current game state with player positions, stack sizes, and bet amounts. Select an action (Fold, Call, or Raise) for each player in turn.

Fixing Mistakes Efficiently

If you entered an incorrect action, use your browser's or device's back button to return to the action you want to correct. Once you're back at that step, enter the correct action and continue as normal.

If you need to change structural elements of the hand—such as blinds, stack sizes, or the number of players—it is usually faster to recreate the hand from scratch. Player labels and card information can be updated at any time using the player edit dialog.

Handling Complex Hands (Multiway Pots, All-Ins, Side Pots)

For multiway pots, all-ins, and scenarios with uneven stack sizes:

  • Enter actions in the exact order they occurred
  • The replayer automatically creates side pots
  • Different all-in amounts are handled automatically
  • Pot logic and chip movements are calculated based on the action sequence

If a player is all-in for less than the current bet, enter the all-in amount; the system will handle the rest.

Working With Incomplete Information

When reconstructing hands from memory or partial information:

  • Stack sizes and bet amounts can be approximate, as long as the action flow is logically consistent
  • Unknown hole cards can be left blank and filled in later
  • The replayer tolerates missing information as long as the betting sequence makes sense

This allows you to create accurate replays even when not every detail is known.

Sharing Hand Replays

Direct Sharing (recommended for messaging)

Use the share button in the top right of the replay page to trigger your device's native share menu. This allows quick sharing to apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, Discord, and any messaging app supported by your device.

Social Media (recommended: share video)

On platforms such as X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, or Reddit, share the video rather than the link. Native video consistently receives better visibility and engagement than external links.

Each video has a share button next to the download button for posting directly on supported platforms.

Link Sharing

If you're sharing the replay with friends or a small group, sending the link is sufficient and works across all devices.

Using History, Favorites, and My Hands (for accounts)

If you are logged in:

  • History: browse hands you recently created or viewed
  • Favorites: save replays you want to revisit
  • My Hands: access all hands you've created in one place

These tools help organize and manage your content, especially when preparing multiple replays for sharing.

Increasing Visibility and Engagement

To make your shared hands more effective on social platforms:

  • Use a clear, descriptive title
  • Enable the 4-color deck for improved readability
  • Reveal hole cards earlier when it enhances the narrative
  • Keep the replay concise; remove unnecessary or dead actions

Small improvements in clarity and presentation can significantly boost engagement.

Viewing Replays

Use the replay controls to step through the hand action by action. You can move forward, back, or jump directly to showdown.

Embedding Replays

You can embed a replay on your website or blog using an iframe that loads the replay URL.

Alternatively:

  • Link directly to the replay page
  • Download the video and host it yourself

A simple copy-paste embed feature is currently in development.

Reporting Issues
